The Cedar Rapids Karate Institute offers classes geared towards both adults and children. What days are these classes held? What Time? ADULT CLASSES Our adult classes encourage development both physically and mentally Tang Soo Do classes develop a strong foundation of balance, mobility, flexibility, and strength. All of which are essential in the "art" of Tang Soo Do Adult students improve endurance, coordination, and power. Also, it is a great overall workout! "Realistic" self-defense techniques are taught and practiced in a controlled atmosphere. Mentally, adults improve concentration, focus, and self discipline. The practice of Tang Soo Do reduces stress, and creates a positive self image. It develops the mind, body and spirit. The positive philosophy of Tang Soo Do helps one to "handle" life's confrontations. PRIVATE/EXECUTIVE LESSONS In addition to our regular classes, and schedules that we offer Adults and Children, CRKI offers Private Lessons for individuals who prefer a 1 Teacher - 1 Student "focused" learning experience. The classes are personally taught by the Head/Master Instructor or the Senior BlackBelt instructor of CRKI. The classes are scheduled at a predetermined 1 Hour period 1x, 2x, or 3x a week or they can be scheduled as a "one time only" or on occasion, if a student has certain areas of their training they wish to sharpen up on. These classes are available to anyone, and are perfect for an executive, busy professional, or for parents that desire their children to receive personal 1-on-1 training. The sessions allow for a very conducive learning environment, in a quite setting, and allow the students to receive training in a less distracting atmosphere. The sessions allow the instructor to focus 100% on the development of a single student and can accelerate a student's learning and capabilities in a shorter period. We would highly recommend these classes for those with busy schedules that do not coincide with our regular classes, Professionals/executives that prefer a private learning experience, Parents who prefer their children receive personalized teaching, or anyone who wishes to accelerate their learning and capabilities.
